Super Bowl — Day two
February 4, 2011
We had another amazing sports experience in 2011 — Tim and I were offered a trip to the Super Bowl in Dallas through Fox Sports.
We arrived in Dallas on Thursday afternoon just ahead of a snowstorm and freezing weather that arrived Friday morning. The city was paralyzed by snow and a taxi strike, which made getting around Dallas a bit of a challenge. We braved the city transit on Friday afternoon in order to get to the NFL Experience at the convention center.
The hour-long trip (to travel 2 miles) was worth it, if only for Tim to see them manufacturing Wilson footballs on the premises. They had a display with game balls from every Super Bowl, and Tim got to buy his own licensed Super Bowl football on the spot. We also peeked at the NFL Network talking heads, including Kurt Warner, and bought a few souvenirs for ourselves and friends. Then we started the trek back in order to spruce up for dinner with other Lexus people that had come into town for the big game.
