St. Patrick’s Day party, round three
March 4, 2011
The annual St. Patrick’s Day parade in Hoboken, as usual, was on the first Saturday of the month. Chaos, as usual, ensued.
We held our 3rd annual St. Pat’s party to celebrate the parade, starting the day at the house with a full Irish breakfast. This year, we decided to add a new feature: a scavenger hunt, Jersey style. Participants searched for Jersey Shore look-alikes and Buddy from Carlo’s Bakery, among other things.
Those of us who stayed at the house engaged in another tradition, a cutthroat game of Uno. Tim’s friends apparently didn’t realize how serious the game can be. Joanna demonstrated otherwise before ducking into the kitchen to make her celebrated chocolate stout cake.
Most people met back at the house around 4 to compare photos of the hunt and be judged. Hopefully, Dave left with the shamrock underwear that he wore in on his hat. And with that type of afternoon, the party quickly devolved and wrapped up around 8 that night.
